People say kids soon forget....

The kindness that was done!

But I say no, they don’t forget....

Especially not this one!

But now I am sad to say....

That I have to go!

It’s strange how things turns out that way....

It just robs you of a song!

Our friendship blossomed for a while....

As flowers in a bed!

The colors of friendship are beautiful in the fall...

But I am told that it will be cut down by the frost and die!

If there is a ray of hope....

That what people say is wrong!

I’ll tune-up my voice....

And sing a happy little song!

Now I have got to go....

But I will keep this ray of hope!

For the memories of your friendship....

Will restore my faith!

And in my heart....

Give me a reason to rejoice!
